Two Strivers Recognized as Rising Stars

Weโ€™re proud to share that Arie Reines Sananes and Stephanie Yip have been recognized in a list of CMPโ€™s Rising Stars. This recognition celebrates the top 45 mortgage professionals under 35 who are driving the industry forward with their passion, innovation, and leadership. From building strong client relationships to delivering exceptional service and setting new standards, these Rising Stars represent the future of Canadaโ€™s mortgage market.ย

We sat down with Arie and Stephanie and asked them about how they felt about their recognition. Read more here: ย

Strive: Mentorship has been a big part of your career – whatโ€™s the best advice youโ€™ve ever given (or received) as a mentor?ย

Stephanie Yip: Rest is just as important as the work. Early in my career I was always giving 150% in every single task, but not taking the adequate rest to recover. It is not sustainable in the long run to overwork yourself and burn out. I’ve learned over the years to use the rest time to recover so that I can continue to give 150% for a longer duration of my career.ย

Strive: What does innovation in the mortgage industry mean to you?ย

Arie Reines Sananes: It means adopting new technology solutions to make peopleโ€™s work more meaningful and impactful. When we introduce smarter tools, we free up our teams from spending hours building lists via manual data entry. Instead, they can focus on solving the problems at hand, making key decisions, and seeing the impact of their work. Itโ€™s not just about efficiency; itโ€™s about giving people ownership and clarity so they can do their best work and feel connected to the bigger picture.ย

Strive: What drives your enthusiasm when approaching new and complex projects?ย

Stephanie: I see every new and complex project as an opportunity more than a challenge. I know at the end of each project there’s always something to gain: whether it is complex knowledge or even being able to manage projects while keeping up with day-to-day work. I see the silver lining in each difficult scenario I come across in my professional career.ย

Strive: How do you approach mentorship when working with interns and young professionals?ย

Arie: I see mentorship as walking the same path, just at different points along the curve. My goal is to share everything Iโ€™ve learned โ€” whether itโ€™s mortgage-specific knowledge or the ins and outs of working in a professional environment โ€” while creating space for younger team members to ask questions, challenge ideas, and grow in their own way. Iโ€™ve been lucky to have incredible mentors throughout myย life who pushed me to be better while always making me feel supported. Thatโ€™s the kind of experience I want to pass on: one where interns and young professionals feel comfortable coming to me, knowing theyโ€™ll be heard, encouraged, and never judged.ย
